The We'll
Meet Again 2007 tour closed
at the Castle Hall Theatre, Hertford on 12 July. Originally
produced for the 60th anniversary of D-Day, We'll
Meet Again has now been
enjoyed by over 250,000 people! The show is an
uplifting wartime revue, celebrating the great
stars who kept Britain smiling through her
darkest days. After four national tours and three
summer seasons, the show has gained a following
of dedicated fans who hail it as today's finest
re-creation of traditional variety.
Between
March and July 2007 the show visited some 75
British venues including several it had not been
to before, such as Preston's Charter Theatre, The
Lichfield Garrick, The Ashcroft, Croydon and The
Derby Assembly Rooms. Of course there was also a
welcome return to some of the venues where sell-out
audiences meant people had to be turned away on
previous visits, like the Glasgow Pavilion, Civic
Theatre Chelmsford, Cliffs Pavilion, Southend and
the Theatre Royal, Nottingham. Andy Eastwood pays
tribute to ukulele-banjo star George Formby,
Steve Barclay plays Max Miller and Shelley James
portrays Vera Lynn...
The
good news is, We'll Meet Again returns in Spring
2008...
