'May Bell' ukulele-banjo
The May Bell is a well constructed banjo-uke manufactured by the Slingerland company (USA) in the early 30s, with 16 tension rods and a thick wooden hoop, 8" in diameter, originally open-backed.
The flat back (see photos) is a recent addition which can be removed if not required.
This ukulele-banjo has been extensively refurbished. All tension rods and nuts are new, the top ring and tailpiece have been nickel plated to a good standard, and a new vellum, strings and bridge have been fitted.
Planet geared pegs have been fitted and it comes with a new padded carrying bag as shown.
Postage and packing will be £12 within the UK, or the uke can be picked up at any of the George Formby Society conventions in Blackpool. |
