Martin style '1K' (Koa) soprano ukulele. SOLD!

Martin 1K (Koa wood) c.1940s vintage with beautiful figured tiger Koa wood, the grain on this uke is simply stunning! It has the gold CF Martin & Co decal on the peg head with no wear at all.

These ukuleles are very rare and this one is in exceptional condition with what looks like the original black button Grover pegs which hold perfectly in tune. The uke has the typical tortoise shell binding as the Martin 1M did and the four dot position markers on the fret board. The uke has the later T-frets rather than the bar ones. There are two minor cracks on the back which have been professionally repaired some time ago and don’t even show. There is also a slight wear to the finish - I want to disclose everything about the uke – however these things do not detract from its beauty.

The intonation on this uke is just lovely and it's a pleasure to play – it has that real Hawaiian mellow ring to it – simply beautiful. My only reason for selling, I have too many ukes and this one lives in its case, which is a crying shame for such a pretty ukulele. I want it to go to a good home!

Comes complete with its original hard shell case - more pictures available on request, just e-mail!

I'm sure it will go fast, the buyer is going to love this uke!
