Markendale 'Silhouette' banjo-uke SOLD!

The Markendale was the best banjo-uke I could find in Europe when I bought this maybe 18 years ago.
Dennis Taylor, the former president of the GFS, played a sister of this instrument during this time.

The design of the Markendale 'Silhouette' was based on the pre war Abbott 'Monarch'. Maple construction, ebony fingerboard, all metal parts heavily nickel plated. The woodwork has a beautiful lacquered finish.
It sounds like George Formby would love it, loud and defined.
The instrument is in very good condition and it has no scratches or dents.
The vellum was replaced a year ago with a natural goat skin.
The case is no longer in great shape, but still intact.
