| Ludwig 'Wendell Hall' ukulele-banjo SOLD! | |||||
This 'Wendell Hall Professional' (made by Ludwig and endorsed by the radio/stage star Wendell Hall in the 1920s) has been restored by a Master Luthier and not only looks good but plays and sounds incredible. All parts are original. The Uke was played extensively by a Canadian Army soldier on the battlefields of Europe during WW 2. When I acquired it, it was all there but really needed the loving restoration of a competent Luthier. I couldn't believe my eyes (or ears !!) at the finished product. It has hardly been played as I use my Abbott for all the Formby stuff I do. I hope to bring it with me to the U K in early October, and will leave it with family for sale in the Swindon area. |
