Ludwig 'Wendell Hall' ukulele-banjo

A nice example of a Ludwig 'Wendell Hall' model, dating from the late 1920s; one of the most popular and best value professional level banjo-ukes there is.
This comes from the collection of GFS stalwart John Walley, and has been well used - it shows good honest wear and has loads of character.
It has been refurbed at some time in its history. The peghead transfer has been replaced with a facsimile, an inlay added on the back and a new heel cap fitted.
The neck has been lowered slightly, giving a great playing action, and the sound is bright, clear and loud. Currently it's tuned in F, which is how John used it
(Formby also sometimes tuned his Ludwig in F) but I'll happily restring it and tune it lower if requested by the buyer.

The case is original but very worn - it deserves a refurb and is missing its badge - but fully functional!
