GHS 'Festival' Banjo-uke with George Formby autograph SOLD!

Made by George Houghton & Sons of Birmingham, and dates from the 30s or 40s (probably 30s)... In good condition but the case has seen better days.
There is no record of George Formby ever using this model of instrument, but it was common for manufacturers to gift them to him in the hope that he would be photographed with them or give some kind of publicity.
He often gave away such instruments to people he worked with or met at events... The story goes that this was one such instrument.
