Ditson ukulele-banjo SOLD! | ||||||||||
Vintage Oliver
Ditson banjo-uke, circa 1920s/30s and made by a reputable
manufacturer like Vega or Bacon for the Ditson company,
for distribution in their stores in New York and Boston.
It's been restored and set up by me. This high quality
instrument has it all. Solid maple/birdseye maple pot and
neck, original and functioning tuning pegs, dyed hardwood
fingerboard, pearl inlay position markers, tone ring,
heavy duty hardware throughout. Bright, loud, true
fretting and great tone. Here are the specs: 13" soprano scale, 7" pot, string height just under 4/32" from 12th fret to string, 13/32" width fingerboard at the nut, 7/16" bridge height. I've installed a new vellum, Aquila strings, new bridge and new bone nut. I reglued the three-piece neck where it was separated by the heel cap and I reset the dowel stick. Check out the photos and the video, here: https://youtu.be/cmZ3UixNGo0 Please feel free to email me with any questions or to request additional photos. Thanks for looking! - Corey |
