Jose Alvarez 'Dulcet' soprano ukulele

Pre-1938 soprano uke by Jose Alvarez of Barcelona.
I bought this about three years ago from an elderly gentleman who had kept it in his loft for many years.
He got it when he was 17 years old and he is now in his 80s. I put some strings on and it sounded lovely.
I had it cleaned and polished by a local luthier and gave it new pegs as there were only two of the originals (I have kept these).
It is in good condition but has a couple of scratches on the back which don't affect the use at all and a few little marks on the front (hopefully the pictures show them). A quick Google search reveals that this model was good enough to be included in George Formby's own collection, he used his on his travels during WWII and it can apparently be seen in newsreel footage from the time. That particular one was auctioned by Bonhams in 2011.

These ukes were distributed in the UK by Dallas after WWI but disappeared from their catalogue in 1938 due to the Spanish civil war. It is a fantastic little uke and sounds beautiful but I have six others that I play all the time and this one deserves to be with someone who will appreciate it.
