Abbott 'Monarch' soprano ukulele c.1927 SOLD!
An extremely rare uke, made by JG Abbott & Co. of London, circa 1927.
Maker's stamp and 'Monarch' stamped on back of peghead, along with serial number 7047.
Mint condition and plays perfectly, with a dead straight neck, unmarked fingerboard and frets, and no cracks. Original Grover tuners. Beautifully made and very light to hold.
Unbelievably loud and easy to play, with stunning intonation. As good as any top-end Martin or Gibson. Comes in its original Abbott case.
Very reluctantly for sale to help with the costs of a house move. |
