'Monarch' banjo-uke SOLD! Top-tension Abbott Monarch by Jack Abbott Junior, 1976, now renovated to excellent condition. The fretboard has been restored and the original frets refitted, new tuning pegs added, damage to the resonator's black wooden surround has been repaired and the metal has all been polished and tensioners replated. It's taken quite a while to do it and it has been a labour of love, but it was worthy of restoration and it plays well. Only 200 of these were made. The case is in reasonable condition, I've tidied up the interior. There are some surface marks visible on the peghead and the resonator, but in general it is now very tidy indeed. |
